## Overview

Victoria, Australia is the first location supported by CabFare Connect. In Victoria, CabFare operates as an accredited Data Collection Provider (DCP) under the Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP), administered by Safe Transport Victoria (STV).

The MPTP is a Victorian Government subsidy scheme that provides eligible passengers with a 50 per cent discount on commercial passenger vehicle fares, capped at $60 per trip. CabFare Connect brokers the integration between Taxi Meter providers, EFTPOS Terminal providers, and STV to enable compliant MPTP processing.

## Regulatory Body

**Safe Transport Victoria (STV)** is the Victorian Government body responsible for administering the MPTP. STV maintains the register of eligible MPTP members, accredits Data Collection Providers, and receives trip and shift data from accredited DCPs.

## CabFare Accreditation

CabFare is an accredited MPTP provider under Safe Transport Victoria. As an accredited DCP, CabFare Connect is authorised to:

- Maintain a current list of eligible MPTP drivers with data provided by STV
- Maintain a current list of valid MPTP member cards and balances with data provided daily by STV
- Process MPTP subsidy payments against member accounts
- Submit trip data and shift reports to STV

Integration partners do not interact directly with STV. All STV communication is handled exclusively by CabFare Connect.
